Baked Garlic in the Oven – Creamy, Mild & Aromatic

30 min baking time

Oven-baked garlic – mild, creamy, and slightly sweet – transforms pungent cloves into a spreadable, nutty paste. Whole bulbs go into the oven with a little olive oil and salt – that's all it takes. Squeeze the baked garlic warm from its skin and spread it on bread or stir it into dips, dressings, herb butter, mashed potatoes, and pasta sauces – instant umami, without any pungency.

Ingredients

1-2 servings

  • 1 head of fresh garlic (e.g. Lyubasha, L'ail Violet or Bingenheimer)
  • A little olive oil
  • Herbs (e.g. thyme, rosemary)

Application Tip #4

The paintbrush will be your best friend.

It doesn't just help you tirelessly with cleaning. With it, you can, for example, remove garlic residue-free from the grater surface and process it further immediately.

Preparation

  1. Cut garlic in half crosswise. Place it in your dip bowl.
  2. Drizzle with oil & sprinkle with herbs.
  3. Bake at 180°C for approx. 30–40 minutes.
  4. Spread the oven-baked garlic directly on bread or incorporate it into dips – wonderfully mild & sweet!

Tip:The soft oven-baked garlic can be wonderfully mixed directly in our dip bowl!
