Before you can use your ceramic grater at home, the experienced hands and skills of many people are needed. Here you'll get an insight into the manufacturing process at our family-run partner company in Spain.
With over 40 years of expertise in ceramic manufacturing, our factory remains one of the steadily growing Spanish ceramic producers.
Humans Meet Clay
At the very beginning, experienced hands shape the clay with a lot of intuition, years of experience, and a little water. The blank for your evergrate® ceramic grater is born.

Shaped by human hands, dried in the sun
After the blank has been shaped and the rubbing surface applied, the sun's energy is used to evaporate the moisture from the clay. Afterwards, it goes into the kiln for the first firing.
Each Grater Painted by Hand
In our in-house studio, each of our ceramic graters is hand-painted by talented artists using various techniques, making each one unique.
The Finishing Touch: The Glaze
To protect the fine painting and give the grater its smooth and finger-friendly surface, each ceramic grater is manually dipped into liquid glaze or applied with a brush.
Handmade and Finished in Fire
Now our ceramic grater goes into the oven for the second time. The high temperatures melt the glaze, turning it into glass. Now the applied decoration unfolds its full intensity and luminosity.
