The tonka bean, finely grated on a ceramic grater, brings elegant vanilla-almond notes – a pinch is enough.   • 500 ml milk
  • 60 g semolina
  • 4 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 tsp tonka beans
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional: Fruit or compote for serving

Nutmeg, nuts, tonka beans, or even hard cheese are grated on a dry ceramic grater. And often directly onto a dish.

Preparation

  1. For the semolina pudding, heat milk in a saucepan until it is just about to boil.
  2. Slowly stir the semolina into the hot milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
  3. Moisten your plate graterwith water and finely grate the tonka beans on the grating surface and set aside.
  4. Add the agave syrup, grated tonka beans, and a pinch of salt to the semolina. Continue stirring well to mix all ingredients evenly.
  5. Simmer the semolina pudding over low heat until it reaches the desired consistency. Stir regularly to prevent it from sticking to the bottom.
  6. Serve the finished semolina pudding in bowls or plates and garnish with fruit or compote as desired.
