Fresh, light, and aromatic: The yogurt-lemon marinade makes chicken wonderfully tender and gives it a delicate acidity and creamy seasoning. With finely grated garlic, fresh lemon zest, and a hint of olive oil, it becomes a Mediterranean classic – perfect for grilling, frying, or baking. Ideal for summer dishes with salad, rice, or flatbread.

Ingredients

1 Serving

  • 300 ml natural yogurt (min. 3.5% fat)
  • 1 organic lemon (zest + a little juice to taste)
  • 1–2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: ½ tsp paprika powder or cumin for an oriental touch

Application Tip No. 2

Grate fresh ingredients on a damp grater.

To grate fruits and vegetables such as strawberries and apples, or ginger and garlic, moisten the grater beforehand with a drop of water, oil, lemon juice or similar. It slides better and can be easily removed with a brush.

Preparation

  1. Pour a little olive oil into your grater bowlonto the grating surface, then grate the lemon zest directly into it. Afterwards, finely grate the garlic as well.
  2. Add the natural yogurt, salt, pepper, and optionally some lemon juice and spices, and mix everything well until a creamy marinade is formed.
  3. Thoroughly coat chicken or other poultry with the marinade. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Cook on the grill, in a pan, or in the oven – the yogurt base ensures extra tender, juicy meat with a delicate lemon note.
