25 min in the oven or 12 min on the grill

Lightly roasted on the outside, juicy & buttery on the inside: these marinated corn on the cobs are bathed in a quick garlic-paprika butter – mixed directly in the dipping bowl with finely grated garlic from the ceramic grater. Prepare them on the grill or in the oven, a few turns, freshly chopped herbs and a squeeze of lemon – and this summer classic is ready.

Ingredients

4 Servings

  • 4 fresh corn on the cob
  • 100 g butter (room temperature)
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp paprika powder (sweet; optional ½ tsp smoked)
  • Salt, pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (e.g. parsley or thyme)
  • 1 lemon (optional)

Application Tip No. 2

Grate fresh ingredients on a damp grater.

To grate fruits and vegetables such as strawberries and apples, or ginger and garlic, moisten the grater beforehand with a drop of water, oil, lemon juice or similar. It slides better and can be easily removed with a brush.

Preparation

  1. For the marinated corn on the cob, preheat oven to 200°C top/bottom heat (180°C convection).
  2. Rinse cobs, remove husks/"silks."
  3. For the marinade, lightly moisten yourdip bowl. Grate garlic. Cream together butter, olive oil, paprika, salt & pepper, and optionally honey and lemon zest (and a few drops of juice) directly in your dip bowl.
  4. Brush corn cobs all over with the marinade using our"Kitchen Brush & BBQ Brush"and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated corn cobs on a baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish.
  6. Cook for 15 minutes with foil or lid in the oven → then remove foil, brush again and roast uncovered for 10-15 minutes in the oven, turning occasionally. For extra browning, turn on the grill function for 2-3 minutes at the end.
  7. Sprinkle the marinated corn cobs with herbs, lemon juice over them if desired. Serve in the dip bowl - perfect for scraping off butter and for re-brushing at the table.

Tip:Grill on medium heat. Lightly oil grate. Grill corn cobs for 12-15 minutes, turning and re-brushing every 3-4 minutes until lightly browned all around.
