Our tzatziki recipe is creamy, fresh and wonderfully aromatic, combining cool cucumber, Greek yogurt and finely grated garlic to create a Mediterranean classic. Tzatziki is perfect as a dip for bread and raw vegetables, as a side dish for barbecues or as a topping for bowls & wraps. Also available as a vegan tzatziki.

Ingredients

4 Servings

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 250g Greek yogurt or 300g vegan Greek-style yogurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint (finely chopped)
  • Salt and pepper

Application Tip No. 5

1 grater replaces 3 kitchen appliances

You can leave the lemon squeezer, garlic press, and metal grater in the cupboard. It saves on washing up and time, and protects your fingers.

Preparation

  1. For the tzatziki, grate the cucumber into your dip bowl.
  2. Place in a sieve, sprinkle with ½ tsp salt, and drain for 15–20 minutes. Afterwards, thoroughly squeeze out the cucumber (using your hand or a clean cloth) to prevent the tzatziki from becoming watery.
  3. Lightly moisten your dip bowl. Finely grate the garlic and lemon directly into the dip bowl.
  4. Add Greek yogurt to the dip bowl with the garlic + lemon juice. Also add the squeezed cucumber, olive oil, and chopped mint to the dip bowl. Stir until smooth with our silicone spatula. Season with salt & pepper.
  5. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour. Before serving, stir the tzatziki briefly and garnish with mint if desired.

For vegan tzatziki, simply replace the Greek yogurt with a vegan Greek-style yogurt.
